Sensory Deprivation Sydney
We get lots of questions about what to wear during your float session so here we will cover it all! What to wear, what to bring and why! Here are my top tips of what to wear to enhance your experience of sensory deprivation at Koa Recovery.
What to Wear In The Float
The idea of floating is sensory deprivation and to maximise this experience most people don't wear anything when they float– just think of the tank as a big bathtub – though you can wear a swimsuit if you prefer. If you are going to wear a swimsuit, we recommend that your swimmers are fitted, i.e. no board shorts or loose ties on your swimwear. This can be distracting and impact your floating experience.
Don't worry - your privacy is maintained at all times - you will have your own private room and full control over the lighting and door on the pod so relax, unwind and float away!
What To Bring To Your Floating Session
Just Yourself! We provide soft towels and washers, organic body wash and quality shampoo and conditioner. Everything you need to enjoy your float experience is provided. You will leave very relaxed, and we recommend a comfy change of clothes if you're able to. If you're floating on your way to a meeting, appointment or work we have hair dryers and straighteners available to use.
